"Who was that? That wasn't Mark, was it? Who was it? Kasia?"
A slight smack to the arm broke my reverie and brought me back to reality, but my eyes must have still been glazed over as Vic continued, "What is wrong with you?"
At that moment I heard the front door open and Craig reentered the store. "Yup, there they are. I left my gloves in here. It was great meeting you, oh hi." Seeing Vic, Craig introduced himself to a speechless Victoria. "Well, I have to dash, I need to make the rest of these deliveries. I hope I'll see you both again soon." With a quick wave and a grin, he was out the door, grape shaped bells ringing his exit.
"Whoa."
"Yeah."
We both paused to admire the exiting winemaker, but Vic was the first to break the silence. "Well, now you have something other than that house to drool over." I have a feeling my smack to her arm was a bit more forceful than hers.

Currently Writing...
I recently returned from Bouchercon, an international mystery conference. I've been inspired and motivated to find more time to work on the pieces I'm writing. In fact, author Ovidia Yu has challenged me to instead of writing about what I'm currently reading, once a month write about what I'm currently writing! I have accepted the challenge.
It wasn't me. I didn't do it. I wouldn't even know how! Although I suppose I could google it. I mean, it is kind of common sense. Oxygen tank, open flame, boom! I guess that means anyone could have done it. But who would want to? I wanted her house, so that's me as a suspect. But surely there are others. She was a nasty woman, she must have had some enemies. And she was old. She had lots of time to gather those enemies...and do bad things. But what exactly did she do? What secrets did she have? And why now? Did something happen recently? Something must have happened. Why else kill her now? Those were the questions I had to answer. I had to figure out who killed Margaret Egbin!
