#Tag Me for Murder - A Guest Post & Giveaway

I'm happy to welcome Coco Cline to Cozy Up With Kathy today. You can find Coco on the pages of the Trending Topic Mystery series by Sarah E. Burr. #TAG ME FOR MURDER is the second book in the series and was released last week.

 Hi, I'm Coco Cline!

Hi, everyone. My name is Coco Cline. I'm excited to be writing a character guest blog on Cozy Up With Kathy. As a blogger myself, it's fun connecting with new people!

I'm twenty-eight years old and live in Central Shores, Delaware. Central Shores is a beautiful little beach town on the coast, and it's become a haven for me over the last several years. You see, after graduating college, a few friends and I got together and created a mobile app that became super popular. So popular, Facebook acquired the app in a multi-million-dollar deal. There was a lot of fanfare and press about the acquisition, which led to my being in the public eye. While it was initially cool to be recognized, fame got old very quickly. I realized then how much I enjoyed my privacy and decided I needed to move back to my hometown to escape public scrutiny.

However, I didn't totally retreat from the spotlight. I still manage a successful lifestyle blog called Trending Topic. I write about all kinds of things—beauty, wellness, home décor, and entertainment—and cultivate a very active online community. I'm also one of those "social media influencers" you hear about so much these days. It's actually a fascinating field. I can use my platform to showcase causes I care about and share fun, useful products with my followers.

I recently collaborated with a pet company to promote a new item called the H2Go Leash. It's a dog leash with a built-in water container to help keep doggies hydrated during walks or trips. I teamed up with our local animal shelter and featured the leash along with some cute pups all over my socials. Not only did the H2Go Leash end up selling out, but all the dogs featured in my campaign found their forever home. What a win! I love using my platform to help others.

Yet, these days, managing Trending Topic and my influencer accounts is getting harder due to my busy schedule. While I still love my blog to bits, I've fallen head over heels for my consulting work with Center of Attention, another business endeavor of mine. I started CoA shortly after moving back to Central Shores. It's so rewarding to help small business owners increase their online footprint and gain more customers. I've learned so much about social media over the years, and it only makes sense to share that knowledge with others. If I benefit financially from it a little bit, even better. 😉

I'm in the process of hiring an assistant, but it's been really tough finding someone I can trust. I'm juggling so many things that I need someone to hit the ground running. Will I find them? I sure hope so, or I will have to cut back on my workload, which could spell disaster for my growing business.

Of course, it's not all work and no play in my life. I have the world's most amazing boyfriend, Hudson, as well as the two best friends a girl could ask for. Jasper and Charlotte are my ride-or-die, and they've helped me recover from a terrifying brush with death. I kinda got tangled up in a murder investigation earlier this year and eventually came face-to-face with a killer. Fun times…not so much. But luckily, things in Central Shores are back to normal, or as normal as they can be when you have over three million followers tracking your every move online. And while I was looking forward to spending a fabulous summer with my besties and boyfriend, I now have to tiptoe around our condo development because of my new next-door neighbors, the Dunmers. Larry Dunmer has got to be the nastiest person I've ever met. 😡 I didn't know trolls like him existed outside of Twitter. His wife, Rosalynn, isn't much better. They're terrorizing our little community with rude demands, offensive comments, and grimy actions. So, I'm trying to keep my distance from them as much as humanly possible.

It's easy to avoid them because I've been spending a lot of time down at the Central Shores Police Department doing some consulting work. After helping with—all right, more like interfering with—their last murder investigation, I've become Chief McInnis's PR guru. It's not as glamorous as you might think, though. I just keep the PD's website up-to-date and disperse public safety announcements via social media.

After all, it's not like Central Shores will ever have another murder mystery on its hands…

When murder trends too close to home, social media influencer Coco Cline will have to swipe through a sea of trolls to tag a killer.

After cracking her first case, Cordelia "Coco" Cline's life is finally getting back to normal—or as normal as life can be when you have over three million followers online. With a thriving business, a devoted boyfriend, and her two besties living right up the street, Coco is set to have the most fun summer of her life until Larry and Rosalynn Dunmer move into the condo next door.

Coco and her friends do their best to avoid the confrontational duo, but when a party at a swanky new wine bar brings everyone together, things become less than neighborly faster than a celebrity-themed hashtag goes viral. Larry levels some super shady threats toward Coco and her BFF Jasper, which could have dire consequences for their multimedia empires. Just as Coco begins to wonder if she'll have to spend the rest of the summer looking over her shoulder, she gets a shocking request from police. As part of her PR gig with the Central Shores PD, they need her to come to the beach and keep the public at bay. A body has washed ashore.

Thinking a poor swimmer drowned just before the Salute to Summer festival kicks off, Coco arrives to find Larry Dunmer, dead with a corkscrew sticking out of his neck. What's even more unbelievable is that Jasper quickly shoots to the top of Chief McInnis's suspect list. In full-on panic mode, Coco decides to use her tech-savvy sleuthing skills to clear her best friend's name before his rep is ruined. She soon discovers that Larry made quite a few enemies during his very short stay in town. But who hated him enough to kill him?

Return to the beaches of Central Shores as Coco Cline and her squad assemble to catch a killer before they get canceled…permanently.
