Spotlight and Giveaway - Costume Catastrophe

Today I'd like to shine a spotlight on Costume Catastrophe by Kathi Daley. This book is the 21st book in the Zoe Donovan Mystery series and was released this past Friday. I don't know about you, but with all this heat I'm looking forward to the fall. Thanks Kathi for bringing it early!

It's Halloween in Ashton Falls and that means Haunted Hamlet and the annual haunted house. Zoe is determined not to have her plans for this annual event ruined this year especially since it is also the weekend of the big game and a lot of old friends are in town. Things look as if they are on track for a spooktacular good time, until Zoe receives a message from an anonymous source predicting a death. At first Zoe and the gang think the note is a prank until one of the friends Zoe went to high school with actually turns up dead. Once Zoe realizes the note might not be a prank, she sets out on a race against time before someone else dies.

Recipes Included.

  1. We have a lovely (Sort of) Old house that has been used for the past few years. It was left to the city when the elderly man died. They were going to sell it but decided to use it as the Haunted House An engineer in their building, construction dept did the necessary renovations. The kids love it. Paper book for me. 3. I haven't been to too many haunted houses. They weren't a big thing when I was a kid. A few years ago we did go on a haunted boat ride on Lake Michigan at Navy Pier in Chicago. It was a lot of fun with the crew dressed as pirates showing up and scaring everyone. Really enjoy Halloween.

  6. I'm a big chicken, I went to one once, actually it was a haunted barge, same set up, I will give them that they did a great job and it was realistic looking but not my thing. Now shows about real haunted houses, I love them, of course once again the chicken that I am, if I saw a real ghost although I think it would be neat, I would probably have a heart attack and then have to haunt the place, LOL.

  21. Not really a fan of Halloween Haunted Houses. For some they can be fun to go through, but for others it really is a scary and terrifying ordeal. Some I've known of are really too over the top in gruesome.

  32. We used to have an old house that was believed to truly be haunted. Old Victorian out in the middle of a corn field. It was shut down back in the eighties though because some "satanist" decided it would be funny to add their own touches.
