Hi, Maggie Crozat here, and we’re dealing with a crisis in our little village of Pelican, Louisiana.

This home rental app, Rent My Digs, is not only eating up affordable housing in town, it’s stealing customers from the local B&Bs. But I came up with a great idea if I do say so myself. I suggested we all offer a special Halloween package throughout the month of October with the theme of "Pelican's Spooky Past." Each B&B in the area is offering a special event, including a play that's going to be performed in an abandoned cemetery. Talk about “spooky,” huh?

Here at Crozat Plantation B&B, we have other big news. We're finally opening our brand-new spa and I've hired a masseuse who's a long-lost Canadian cousin. I'm so excited to meet her and her family. And nervous, too. I'm not sure where the nerves are coming from. I hope they're not a bad portent, because they sometimes are. A lot of us Louisianians tend to have a bit of the second sight. But Susannah is family, right? What could go wrong there?

Whoa... speaking of sights, what's that I see in the woods? Could it be a rougarou, the Cajun version of a werewolf??? Say a prayer that's not what I saw…
